This recipe idea came from her, she has a staple chicken salad recipe that she makes weekly, and we get really creative with 100 million ways we can eat it. After finding these completely Paleo wraps, we decided to stuff them with her chicken salad. It was deeelicious. I love all different kinds of chicken salad. I actually have another Chicken Salad Recipe on my blog, which is a bit more complicated. This one that I’ll share today is much easier and perfect to make each week.
One thing to mention is that the book does focus almost entirely on kid-type foods. This includes some meals and many finger foods. For many families, these probably wouldn’t be dishes that would serve the adults as well. Now, that may not be an issue. But, for people who want to cook a single meal for everybody or who are looking for kid-friendly dinners, the book may not be quite right.

This chicken salad keeps things light and has an eclectic mix of meat, fruit, and vegetables, so you’ll feel great after eating it. While some might think that Paleo eating doesn’t include salads, this is a misperception. In fact, you’ll likely end up eating more salads than you ever did before so you can balance out a meal. This salad makes a great lunch, and will surely give you energy to help you through the rest of the day, without a sluggish after lunch feeling. Consider using baby spinach or baby kale leaves instead of ordinary lettuce for the base.
Introducing paleo food to a family can be tough, especially as many people are resistant to the idea. As a result, this cookbook offers one potential way around the problem, by focusing on recipes that aren’t obviously paleo. The meals would also work well for many families because they don’t use incredibly obscure ingredients and often don’t have as many steps as other paleo recipes.
This book features over 100 different Paleo recipes and if you don’t like a stuffy cookbook, this is the one to go with. Beyond Bacon is not only packed with mouth-watering recipes, but the Paleo Parents also teach us how to find affordable pastured pork and teach us about the nutritional value of including pork in our diets. In addition, I love how the recipes are marked as easy, intermediate and difficult. This book is elegant, informative and would look stunning on your coffee table!

The Summer Eats collection of recipes is unlike anything we’ve seen in the world of Paleo. These are like gourmet meals done in Paleo fashion, so you’ll feel like you’re getting well-fed, but keeping healthy at the same time. She’s gone for quality over quantity, so you won’t be inundated with hundreds of recipes, and in fact she’s providing just 16 recipes designed to knock your socks off. This is the type of recipe collection you’ll want to have on hand when you want a special meal, but don’t want to veer off your Paleo plan. She also provides recipes for clean cocktails, so you can enjoy a tasty beverage without packing on the calories and sugar.
Those who have been on the Paleo diet also say that once all the refined sugar and dairy are cut from the diet—about two to three months in—their level of energy is noticeably higher than before, so they’re even more motivated to work out and follow a Paleo diet, all part of the lifestyle. The key to success is to start small and build on your success.
They are snippets of my life and family. They show how I live as someone who eats and lives a primarily Paleo diet and lifestyle. It's real. I don't have the energy nor desire to dress these up and make them fake. You'll see me without makeup (some days), my kitchen messy, me eating stuff I shouldn't. You'll also see me give you tips on making things easier, things I like, and ideas for what to eat or do. And some days they won't have a darn thing to do with Paleo, health, or wellness – it'll just be me and my life.
